Payroll Funding is a local family owned, financial services business. To accommodate their expanding staffing needs, Payroll Funding relocated to a larger space on Palmer Square in the heart of downtown Princeton. Knight Architects worked closely with the Payroll team to create the perfect space for them, one that evokes an inviting and transparent environment. Utilizing a warm palette of whites and natural wood, the existing space was transformed from drab offices into a minimalistic, elegant working environment. With pops of color elevating the design, the low ceilings were raised in the larger workspace. Exposed ductwork was painted white and acoustic panels were added to dampen the sounds. The layout of the workstations were configured to allow maximum space on both sides of the desks. A small coffee station was added with soft and comfortable armchairs alongside the balcony. Frameless sliding glass walls enclose meeting and smaller office spaces to allow privacy amongst the team yet maximize natural light throughout.
